Booking terms and conditions
The terms that apply when you book a stay at Terraza del Sol, Puerto Escondido.

Bookings made through Airbnb, Booking.com or other platforms are also subject to that platform’s own terms and cancellation policy.
1. Who we are
Terraza del Sol, operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], offers three vacation apartments — ARENA, CORAL and PALMA — at [ADDRESS], Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico.
2. Making a booking
A booking is a request until you receive our written confirmation by email or WhatsApp. The confirmation states the apartment, dates, number of guests and total price. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for all guests in the party.
3. Rates, taxes and currency
Rates are per apartment, per night, for up to 4 guests, in [CURRENCY TO CONFIRM], and include [INCLUDED TAXES AND FEES TO CONFIRM]. Cleaning and any other fees are shown before you confirm. Rates may vary by season and are guaranteed once your booking is confirmed.
4. Payment

Your booking is only guaranteed once the agreed amount has been received. Bank or platform fees, where they apply, are covered by the guest.
5. Security deposit

6. Changes and cancellations

7. No-show and early departure

8. Minimum stay

9. Check-in and check-out
Check-in from [CHECK-IN TIME]; check-out by [CHECK-OUT TIME]. Late check-out without authorization may be charged as an additional night. Guests may be asked for official ID at check-in.
10. Occupancy and house rules
Maximum 4 guests per apartment, including children. Exceeding the agreed occupancy, or subletting the apartment, allows us to end the stay without refund. By booking, you accept our House Rules, which form part of these terms.
11. Damages and liability
Guests are responsible for damage to the apartment, furniture or building caused by them or their visitors. Terraza del Sol is not liable for loss or theft of personal belongings, or for injury resulting from misuse of the apartment, the jacuzzi or the building’s common areas.
12. Services and interruptions
We work to keep every service running. Interruptions of electricity, water, internet (Starlink) or air conditioning caused by third-party providers or weather are outside our control and do not generate a refund, though we will always do our best to solve them quickly.
13. Tours and third parties
Tours, transfers, surf lessons and other activities we recommend are operated by independent providers. We help you arrange them, but the contract and responsibility lie with the provider.
14. Cancellation by us and force majeure
If we must cancel a confirmed booking for reasons beyond our control — hurricanes, storms, road or airport closures, damage to the building, government orders — we will offer you a comparable apartment, new dates, or a refund of the amounts paid, at your choice.
15. Bookings through platforms
If you booked through Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia or another platform, that platform’s payment, cancellation and refund rules apply to your booking. These terms apply to everything else, including House Rules and occupancy.
16. Complaints and applicable law

These terms are governed by Mexican law, and any dispute will be subject to the competent authorities of [JURISDICTION TO CONFIRM], without prejudice to the consumer rights available to you under Mexican law.
